Osi can finally get to uni again without being crammed into a tram like a sardine. Huzzah! Though the city seems kinda empty now, which is a tad sad...ah well. Back to boring old Melbourne! X3
Mm, weekly updates to procrastinate some on my essay I'm writing...
Monday...I don't think anything particually interesting happened on Monday. Oh! Wait! Yes it did, Osi got a free thickshake from Donut King at Uni because she asked for a hot chocolate but they gave her thickshake >.> <.< No complaints -there-, let me tell you. Um, Medieval History was on Charlamagne, and all his conquerage, P&P was on...that's right, funerary sculpture and the Sphinx, etc. When I die, I think I'll have someone build me a big Sphinx...or mayhaps something different, as the Sphinx has already been done, ne? Right, I'ma stopping rambling now XD. Shakespeare was on...um...Revenge tragedy. There we go. Finding Shakespeare the most boring of my classes, which was a bit of a letdown. Well, I must slog on!
Tuesday....Hm, my feet are cold. One moment whilst I find my slippers...Okay! Tootsies are warm now! Onto Tuesday. P&P tute taken by the lecturer rather then the normal guy, which actually wasn't such a bad change. Actually found out what I'm meant to be writing in my essay, something that greatly helps. XD Ancient Greece was on the Theogony, which I have yet to read, but basically on the main creation myths the ancient Greeks had. Good thing I'm already familiar with all that. XD Still claim that the Ancient Greeks were all scared of women, as they even tried to keep their godesses under male god rule by trying to rope Aphrodite in as one of Zues' kids. Nuh-uh! We all know she was made when Chronos whopped off Uranus' more manly bits! *shakes a fist* Silly Greeks, being afraid of women like that. Explains the Amazon myth, though. P&P was on Mummification. Need I really say more to explain my glee in this matter? XD
Wednesday: Spent most of the day trying to write my Shakespeare essay, without much success. That may be because, when it comes to essay writing, I have a painfully short attention span. Only got about 250 words done for the majority of the day, before the Muse suddenly hit me in the evening and made me go over the word limit. Figures, ne? XD Had to cut down, which is even harder then creating the words!
Thursday. Meh, you people don't really wanna know about my classes, do you? I had them, and that's all that really matters. Almost fell asleep in my Medieval tute though. That tutor is so boring. *gonk* Almost fell asleep in the Shakespeare lecture as well, but that was only on tragedy...dosn't matter -so- much. Starting to learn contact juggling in juggling club, yay! *squees*
Friday...I did not very much at all, despite my best intentions. XD Oops?
That brings us to yesterday, in which I had my first proper day of work. Whoo, tiring! Plus running up and down stairs all day really kills your legs XD. No major catastrophies, which is always a plus, despite me spilling a giant cup of soft drink I nicked. >.> <.< Oops. Well, I cleaned it up! No especially bad kids, just one group of 18 eleven-year-old boys. Aieyaiyai...so noisey. @.@ Well, the parents of that group were really, really nice so I guess that makes up for it. And another parent gave us cake. Huzzah for freebies! *squee*
Now, onto this essay...
Discoveries Osi hs made this week!
1. The Ballaiu library can be rather difficult to use. They place their shelf numbers in really, really odd places. @.@ Not to mention the books you want are nearly always out for the duration of your essay-writing time. Always the way, ne?
2. Parents throwing parties for their 6 year old kids at Darkzone are very, very stressed. This could be because you're not technically -allowed- to play at dark zone until their 7/8. Silly, lying parents.
3. Plot updates on Gaia are getting cheesier every time...

'Elo, Osi ^^ My, such an interesting week XD Yay for cake! Yay for soda! Yay for no catastrophies! YAY OSI! ^^ Well... I can't be very interesting right now >< I'll talk to you in a few seconds XD
~Joe-chan
Yay for freer public transport! Yay for sardines! Yay for cats! Yay for it all! [/hyper]
Mmm...thickshake. That is one good mistake, although it wouldn't have been so good on a day like today when it feels like Australia has merged with Antarctica. Ok, so that's a bit exaggerative, but surely having an imagination is not a crime? *innocent look* Hey, that's not a bad quote! Oops, getting off topic. I love Donut King!
Sphinx are cool (is there such thing as a plural for Sphinx?). Zee dog was sitting like one the other day but he's too fluffy to be made of stone. >.< Shame about the drudgery of Shakespeare, but at least the other's make up for it, I guess!
Ancient Greece sounds like such an interesting class! *wishes she could take it but the requirement for it was a first year Arts sequence for which there is no timetable space* Alas, woe is me. Woah, Aphrodite was made from Uranus?? o.O Never knew that one.
Eh, I have a terrible attention span. What's that I'm meant to be doing now? Work? Reading? What's that? =P I agree with thou, cutting down is harder than building up once the words start flowing! >.<
Mwahaha, juggling club looks fun. XD I went and spied on our juggling club last week and they were packing up. =( Missed my chance! Still, got to see them play with the poi! Pretty...
Work sounds chaotic! =D Makes it interesting I suppose. Must check out this Darkzone sometime soon...I believe I passed it a couple of weeks ago. There was an anime shop nearby. Oooh.
Yep, books always go walking when the time for essays comes around. The books I want are always returned minutes after I leave the library for another class (we have an online system so we can check when they were returned). How irritating! Lying parents are naughty...do you say anything to them or just turn a blind eye?
And as for the Gaia plot update...=S
*waits patiently (=P) for Osi's weekly update, while randomly commenting for the sake of it* XD
WAHAHAHAHA! I am winning in the comment-race! *Racks up a big word count* Now who pwns! :P
Anywho, long time no talk-type-see, Kylieh, m'dearest.
Actually, you haven't even updated this thing in a while...
ZOMG! You haven't died or anything, have you? That'd be sad... :(
How's work going? It's it good? Is it fun having money? Money money money must be funny in a rich man's world? ABBA rules?
:D
I met some friends of a friend of a friend (or something) at Uni the other day and they were all Dark Zone crazies and they knew people I used to know who work at Dark Zone and now I want to know who you work with to see if you know them too...
SO: who do you work with? Anyone? Do you fly solo up there in the party area? Teehee.
Anyway, Uni sounds pretty interesting for you. History is always good, but some people can make it seem so boring. I imagine kicking those people in the head. :D
Did you get a free thickshake AND a hot chocolate from Donut King? And why were you getting a hot choccy from -Donut King- anyway? Surely there was a nice little coffee shop at which to purchace your sugary liquid? If not: the hell? It's Melbourne! That place is crammed full of places to eat. Like that food court! And you even have a freakin' bunch of shops and junk. GIGANTO UNI! *Dundun*
I want to come and visit you some day so I can feel cool and wonder around and get lost. Hehehehehe.
Wow, I'm a bit hyper at the mo because I've had too much Ribena and bought some new PS2 games recently. Apparantly the PS3 is coming out in the not so distant future. Which is fab because it means the price of PS2 games will plummet. Hehehehehehehehe. Good for Jess! I'll just buy heaps of PS2 games untill the price of the PS3 drops dramaticly and I can get a cool deal or a special colour and wow I've got this all figured out yay me.
ANYWAY, I think that's a suitibly long comment! Now you owe me TWO comments! Bwahahahahahahahaha!
<3 Jay
P.s: DAMN, you've had this blog for ages! Since 2002! Wow, you sure can keep at things! *Impressed*
Hey, It's Walden/Takkuto.. I'm don't know if you remember me or not,
but we talked a lot a year or so ago. I was going through my box of
treasures cleaning it out and I found a letter you wrote me and a
picture you drew me while you were on vacation in New Zealand, and it
got me thinking I should try and contact you. I know we haven't talked
in over a year I think, but I've thought about it pretty often.. I
don't really remember why we stopped talking, but I remember being
really sad when you stopped signing onto MSN; that isn't really the
best choice of words, but I can't think of anything else. I assume you
went to school like you had planned? I hope so. I just started going
to a university myself. ^^; Anyway, I'd really like to hear back from
you. If you're too busy, or if you don't want to start contact with me
again, just ignore this..
Sincerely,
Walden M. Robinson
(P.S. I tried to send an email, but it sent it back to me twice, so sorry if this is an inconvenient place to talk to you. My email is Otakun@gmail.com if you decide to talk to me)
Enjoyed a lot! »
