The novelty hasn't gone, but damn I'm tired!

And I don't know -why-! Well, at least I'm not so tired today, Mum actually let me sleep in until midday. *squee* That helped big time. But I suppose you're here for the weekly update, ne? No? Well, tough luck, as you're getting it anyway! Hohoho~!

Before I start, however, I'd like to state that Rammstein's version of Barbie Girl is very, very disturbing and the main singer sounds like some sort of dog with the growling he's doing. I now truely know the meaning of fear. Oh, the spittle that must have been flying through this recording.

Monday...*thinkthink* Righto! It was Labour day, but us poor uni students didn't get a holiday. Woe is us. Due to the Moomba parade (which I don't think I've actually ever seen, despite living in Melbourne all my life) Mum dropped me at the train station and I caught the Elizibeth street tram to uni rather then the Swanston. Same amount of time, if not shorter, to get there but it's a bit of a hike across campus. Despite the train being fifteen minutes late, still got there in time. Arn't you all so glad? XD Anyway, we were lectured about the Arthur myth in Medieval history and whether or not he existed and how, and why, the myth became so...well, big. It was actually all very interesting, how such a big thing came out of only a few scratchy records which don't prove anything. In P&P we were studying hiroglyphs and the evolution of writing. Almost died of happy because of this. Shakespeare...oh dammit, what did we do in that. >.< I -think- it was on how Shakespeare's work went from being a staged thing to a written and read piece of work. I'd have to grab my notes, but they're across the other side of the room and you all -know- how lazy I am!

Tuesday...Pyramids and Princes tute was also on writing, which pleased me just fine. I've discovered I quite enjoy tutes, as they have a bunch of other people who are willing to actually -talk- because they also have an interest in the subject. Oh, the differences between tutes and English class last year! After that was Ancient greece, more on the Odyssey which I won't go into because it requires having read the thing to get (Or, at least, having attended the other lectures). Met up with Jenjen before going to anime club, in which we met up with Silvia, Chan-chan and Chan-chan's friend who's name I've forgotten. After that was my P&P lecture which covered Ancient Messapotamian gods. Once again, I almost died of happy.

Wednesday was likely my undoing, in terms of fatigue. Stayed up until about midnight on Tuesday wrapping up Kat's b-day gifts, then was woken at 7am by said Kat. Nasty, nasty, nasty! Anyway, the party went well and all the brats seemed pretty happy. The birthday cake was absolutely scrumptious. Got to bed at some ungodly hour, then didn't sleep so well due to the brat's noise levels. How they woke up at 5am was beyond me. @.@

Thursday...well, lets say I was half asleep for most of it. Greece tute was good, though I can't really remember that much of it. Medieval tute was better then last week, more interesting, though I have yet to learn most of the people's names. Break was good! >.> <.< Met up with Jenny and went wandering before we went to my Greece lecture in the smelly hall (Which, again, didn't smell too bad!), and then had lunch, watching the band that was playing. They were really good! Very loud, and I could feel the bass in between my ribs, but good! Shakespeare tute after, which was the first interesting one, then hung out in the library until final lecture, which was about Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare's first tragic play. And man, is it a bloody one! Rapes, murders, tongue and hands being cut off and people being baked into pie. Lovely, ne? I'm glad we're reading it, rather then watching a movie >.< The one part of the movie we watched, where Marcus finds Lavita, was rather...nasty. And spooky. *shudders* Juggling was great! Am starting to learn to unicycle...I can sit on it! Granted, I'm clinging for dear life to the fence, but I can still sit on it!

And that brings us to today or, moreso, yesterday. Mum let me sleep in, as stated earlier, and then we went shopping. Bought new PJs (which were badly needed) and got mum to keep her promise of getting me purple and black stockings. X3 Wheee!

Discoveries Osi made this week:
- Commies at Melbourne arn't in the great majority, or so she thinks. They're just very loud, and very persistant.

- 9am is -far- too early for any lecture/tute. She shall make an effort to have no classes before 10 next semmester.

- When en mass, 14 year old girls seem to have both hunger and energy abound. This will fully wear out whoever has the torment of looking after said girls.

Just because I haven't done these in awhie...

I bring you tests! Old tests, at that. This is what you get when Osi goes looking through her archives. XD

People were hung in various positions from you, sometimes with weights, stretching and dislocating limbs. Sometimes they were left to starve or succumb to the elements. All in all, you're a pretty forgiving person, provided they don't -really- get you angry.

What torture would you be?

Last time I got...the rack, I believe. Oh no, Iron bed! How pleasant.

You're a dreamer at heart and have a great looking Goblin King. You are everybodies favorite, but most won't except you.

What movie are you?
made by

LABYRINTH! Yay! X3 Brilliant movie!

Yes,

I changed the layout to a pre-made one. My old one was pissing me off and, without having dreamweaver installed, I was incapable of fixing it. This shall surffice until a later date.

:o And the novelty hasn't worn off yet!

That's right, folks, it's time for the next exciting installment of Osi's weekly life! Hoorah hooray, oh glorius day! Right, I'll stop rhyming now.

When I last left you, it was a Friday evening. So I suppose Saturday would be a good time to start, ne? Well, on Saturday I had my first training session at Darkzone. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm going for a part-time job there? Probably not...oh well. ^^ Anyway, I worked from 11-4 there, and it was actually pretty fun, for a job. Not exactly difficult either, which was nice. And the kids wern't...too bad. A bit of pizza throwing, a bit of jostling, but nothing dramatic. Lets hope it stays that way!

Basically, on Sunday, I did not very much. Well, I did go to Dell's for a little while because I, being the silly I am, left my sleepingbag up there and Kat needed it for her year 8 camp. Ho hum. Well, it was nice to see her again ^^

And so, week two rolled around like that steamroller rolling towards you when you have your feet stuck in concreate, the evil villain's laughter ringing throughout the deserted warehouse you have somehow, most likely in some foolish act of heroism, wandered into: Inevertable without some rather unlikely intervention from a higher poewr of sorts. Should I stop attempting to make my blog posts interesting now? Probably, yes, lest I kill you all with metaphors that arn't really metaphors because they're just silly.

*ducks the flying tomatos and boos and hisses*

So yes, Monday. I, el gasp, went to uni and enjoyed it as much as I had last monday. I won't go into the lectures, as you're likely not actually interested though it would likely be a good revision exercise for me. Nah, I'll spare you all the pain and just give you overviews. Medieval history = good, and that I actually like having a double lecture. You seem to get alot more done. P&P= better then last week, as we actually started doing Ancient stuff, ie: Early Egypt history and the myth of Seth and Osiris. Fufufuf~! Have come to the conclusion that I much prefer Monday's Shakespeare's theatre lectures more then Thursdays, due soley to the lecturer taking each one. The one on Monday is just that much better. Plus it's partially a historial lecture on Monday, which could have something to do with it.

Tuesday...dammit, what happened on Tuesday. Ah yes, went to the Potter (no, not -that- Potter) museum on campus for P&P tute, which was quite interesting. I've always liked museums. Went back there later in the day with Jen-jen, just because I didn't get to look at the whole place that morning. Ancient Greece, as usual now, was facinating, despite the fact I already knew about the lecture matter. Good lecturers = love. Anime club also = love, and I met up with Silvia again and met a third year med student who is also a FF and KH fan. Ah, the joys of finding friends merely through wearing an FF8 necklace XD. Lunch with Jen-jen after that, before my P&P lecture, which was on Messopotamia this week. Who knew that Iraq used to actually be a nice place...abouit 5000 years ago, anyway. Well, probably a lot of people really, but I didn't.

Wednesday, I went shopping with Dell at Knox. Yay for shopping and gossping! We did much wandering around aimlessly, just chatting, and we both bought a pair of rather awesome boots. <3 Much fun and frivolity.

Thursday, my early start. El yuck. Somehow though, despite my fears that, though having arisen early I would still be thwarted in my attempts to get to my tute on time, I managed to get there on time. Early, even. Then I figured out that I hadn't actually done the reading for the week. Oops. This situation must be remedied. Straight after I had my first Medieval tute, which proved to be only...well...so-so in its okay-ness. The tute group is decent but the tutor? I don't like her much. Went and bought donuts and hot chocolate (because I was still half asleep) before meeting up with Jen-jen, who acompanied me to my lecture in the smelly theatre. Today, what ho, it did not smell of unrine! I do believe this is a good thing. Or it could just be because we sat somewhere different >.> <.<. After this, we proceeded to get lunch before I nicked off to my Shakespear tute (on how to write essays. Snore). After this? We went to the no-studying library and played Warcraft III, a task that proves rather stressful for me. Whoever knew something as simple as pink dots on a screen could cause me to panic so much. Shakespeare lecture after that, on Dr Faustus. Interesting enough, but I do wish the woman wouldn't just read from a sheet of paper. It makes things so much less interesting to listen to. No matter, juggling was next! Glee! I think I -might- be getting better. *crosses fingers and touches wood* Oh yes! Finally ran into Chan-chan, and there was much hugging and squeeing involved in it. I will not loose her e-mail this time...*runs to add it to MSN*

On Friday, I played the sims. X3 Actually, I started writing this blog entry also but I got distracted. Yes, I'm late with it. So sue me. Anyway, Dell came over about three and we proceeded to waste more time on the computers. Then Kat came home. Did I mention she was at camp? Yeah, I did. Then we (Dell and I, that is) proceeded to go out with some others to a lounge (The Atrium. Don't ask me where it is) for the evening for drinks and dessert. Yes, don't pass out people, but Osi -went- somewhere. Scary, I know. Just so you don't die of shock, however, I'll inform you that her drink was non-alcaholic (and rather tastey). Also, chocolate fondu always goes down well. Yuuuuuumi. Apparantly we have a fondu set somewhere at home. This must be looked into and exploited, if true.

Yesterday, had my second training session at Dark Zone. Was more challenging in some regards then last weeks, but overall alright. Except for that mix up they had downstairs which left us, in the parties rooms, with a tripple booking. Not fun. I reckon we coped reasonably well though, even with the dropped cake. Came home, collapsed and did not much for the evening.

That brings us to Sunday, today. I'll probably catch up on my reading before tomorrow and veg a little. ^^

Discoveries Osi has made this week:
- That the bathrooms in Union house are a painful color. Let me elaborate on this one. You walk into the bathroom to be met not only with fushia walls, but also with a neon orange pad and tampon dispencer on the wall straight in front of you. If this dosn't affront your sense of co-ordination, then the fact that the actual toilet room is bright red -should-. If it dosn't, you're blind.

- That, in order to get people to comment, or even just read, this Osi has to drag them by the ear and plonk them down in front of it (Except with you, eNVy. Osi loves you!). Is my blog really just that uninteresting or am I loved less then I thought? T.T Oh yes, thank you to eNVy for being a regular commenter, thank you Cal for taking a moment to comment on last week ^^

Dammit, I had more but I've forgotten them. Well, if I remember I'll add them to next week's update. ^^ Ja!

>.< I'm hungry.
